Artifacts, reworked
Your Sect Master still equips one artifact per role: Follow-up, Modifier, Wardens and Support. What changed is what each artifact gives you.
- Every artifact adds a stat for its slot. Follow-up adds ATK, Modifier adds Inner Power, Wardens add HP and Support adds DEF.
- The stat grows with grade and level: 4 / 5 / 6 / 7% at level 1 for Low / Mid / High / Supreme, up to 7.6 / 9.5 / 11.4 / 13.3% at level 10.
- Low-grade artifacts are stat-only. From Mid grade up, an artifact also carries its mechanic, and that mechanic steps up at level milestones instead of growing a little every level. The artifact panel shows what the next milestone unlocks.
- Wardens and Support artifacts now react to what happens in a fight. Some heal an ally who drops low, shield the weakest teammate or revive the first ally to fall. Others hand out Fury when an ally is hard-controlled or an enemy falls, or swing the ATK balance every few turns.
The full list of roles and grades is on the build systems page.
Auras
The Sect Master screen has a new Aura tab. The aura is drawn behind your Sect Master in town, in battle and on the formation screen.
- The Azure set is free: a new aura opens with each realm, from Qi Refining up to Dao Ancestor.
- Leave it on By Realm and you always wear the Azure aura of your current realm.
- Limited auras (Blood Moon, Myriad Immortals) are event rewards.
In battle, a Sect Master wearing an aura is drawn behind every other unit, so a large aura never hides your team.
Stage Records
Every campaign stage now has a Records button with two boards per server:
- Earliest — the first three players to clear the stage. Farming it again later does not count.
- Lowest Power — the three wins with the lowest team Combat Power.
Each entry comes with a replay, so you can watch how someone beat a stage you are stuck on with a weaker team. Records are checked on the server against a replay of the battle, so the numbers on the board are real.
Summon Race and Herb Race
Two races now run on a fixed calendar. Both use the same ranking screen as the Arena.
- Summon Race — ranks the number of summons you make. It runs Monday–Wednesday and Thursday–Saturday (Sunday off), starting 9 November. The top three earn Martial Order Token shards and summon tickets, and everyone who makes at least 10 summons gets 5 summon tickets.
- Herb Race — ranks the Immortal Herbs you spend on Marrow Cleansing and Seal Pouch exchanges. It runs from the 15th to the 21st of every month, starting 15 November. Ranks pay Martial Order Tokens, Gold and Gear Bags, and milestones hand back Immortal Herbs, Gold and token shards along the way.
Rank 1 in either race also wears a special title for 7 days.
There is also a Weekly Top-Up and a Daily Top-Up with milestone rewards for purchases. They are optional, and what is in them is listed in No VIP, no paywall.
Guild, mini-games and Spirit Seals
- Daily guild quests run next to the weekly set: clear campaign stages, fight in the Arena and light the guild campfire. They reset at midnight game time and each pays Merit plus Spirit Stones or Immortal Herbs. The Quests tab shows how long until the next reset.
- Mini-games (Fateful Gathering) now give 3 rounds a day, 5 minutes each. Finish all three for a daily chest of 1 summon ticket and 5 Demon Pills. A red dot on the Events icon tells you when you still have rounds left.
- Spirit Seals: the seal picker now also lists seals worn by your other disciples, with a Take button that moves the seal in one step. The Sect Master cannot wear Spirit Seals, so a seal stuck there counts as free to take.
- Stat Details: tap ⓘ next to a disciple's or the Sect Master's stats to see every final stat. Capped stats show
value / capand turn red at the cap, so you can tell when more of that stat is wasted.
Combat changes
- Wood plague: now caps at 20 stacks (stacks above 10 count three-quarters), and a target gains at most 4 stacks per round. Exposure and spreading start at 12 stacks. Left alone for 5 turns, the plague recedes by one stack per turn. The Wood Sect Master's ultimate now deals two instant plague ticks and then clears half the stacks, instead of wiping them all.
- Fire Seal: each burn tick also deals 0.3% of the target's max HP per stack (capped at 3%, ignores DEF).
- Damage reduction: reduction buffs from skills and passives (guarding, damage-reduction buffs and the like) no longer multiply together. The highest one applies. Reduction from gear, pills, artifacts, seals and synergy still stacks.
- Demonic Cult Saintess: her Sword Qi sharing and team buff now go to Metal allies only.
- Ming Cult Grandmaster: his second skill now scales with the direct damage he took since his last cast.
- Awakening: some heroes gain an Awakening upgrade at higher stars, shown in their skill sheet.
The Five Elements guide has been updated with the new numbers.
Blood Trial
- Blood Moon is now explained in the rules: double loot and far more high-tier artifact shards, but Heavenly Tribulation hits 20% harder.
- While you are enduring a Thunder Tribulation, monsters and rogue cultivators leave you alone and nobody can duel you.
- Tribulation lightning gives a clearer warning, so you can dodge it, and it no longer targets players who are opening a chest or a portal.
More in the Blood Trial guide.
A fresh look
- Every hero has been redrawn: they blink, shout when they attack and react when they fall. Eleven heroes have new faces and 22 have reworked outfits drawn from their stories.
- Many ultimates have new effects, with multi-hit attacks now swinging once per hit.
- The battle camera frames both teams, so nobody is cut off at the edge.
- The Spirit Realm is warmer by day and follows a day–night cycle on game time.
- Low graphics in Settings shows fewer players and effects in town, for older phones.
Quality of life
- New players see a one-screen Path of Ascension before their welcome gift, showing the realms ahead. You can open it again from the realm board.
- Rewarded ads now open from Foundation Early, so a brand-new player is not asked to watch ads.
- World chat opens after campaign stage 10.
- The tower now has one name everywhere: the Endless Tower.
FAQ
What happens to my artifacts after the rework?
You keep every artifact and its level. Every artifact now adds a stat for its slot. Mid grade and up keep a mechanic that steps up at level milestones; Low-grade artifacts trade their old effect for the stat alone.
Are Auras paid?
No. The Azure set opens with your realm for free. Limited auras come from events.
How do I see a Stage Record replay?
Open a campaign stage, tap Records, pick the Earliest or Lowest Power board and press play on an entry.
Do I need to spend money for the Summon Race?
No. Every summon counts, including the ones made with tickets you earn in play, and everyone with 10 or more summons gets 5 tickets back.
